Cindy grew up as a farm girl not far from Edmonton, Alberta, the youngest of two children. After
high school, she attended Okanagan Bible College in Kelowna, BC, and then came home to meet
and marry the man who is now my husband Walter - the youngest of 10 siblings! They have been
married for over 30 years and currently live on an acreage east of Calgary, Alberta. She and her
husband have a 25-year-old son, Randy, who has Cerebral Palsy and a 21 year old daughter,
Autumn.
She enjoys teaching, hiking, listening to music and reading, reading, reading! One of her favourite
things to do is spend time with her family – they bring much color into her world! She also loves to
travel and learn from people she meets in other cultures.
Not much has turned out in her life like she thought it would and often times she would say she
doesn’t react well to that. She regularly asks Jesus to bridge the gap between who she is and who
she wants to be. He has given her much grace for this rat race we call life and she learns to bring
Him the ‘stuff’ of her life, He has taken her to places she could never get to on her own. By His
grace, she can honestly say, “I am able to live beyond my circumstances.”
Cindy holds a Bachelor of Religious Education degree, majoring in Christian Education and
minoring in Missions. She is a CLASS (Christian Leaders Authors and Speakers) and Upper CLASS
graduate and has earned her Advanced Certification as a Personality Trainer.

I believe in the one true, living and holy God, who created the heavens and the earth and all that is
in them. He alone is the Sustainer and Ruler of all things visible and invisible. God exists eternally
as a trinity of three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit - distinct but inseparable, eternally one in
essence and power.
I believe in Jesus Christ, who is both fully human and fully divine. He is the eternal Son of God who
was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin to be God in the flesh among His people. I
believe He lived a sinless life of perfect obedience to the Father and that He died on the cross to
pay the penalty for people’s sin, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. He is the sole
Mediator between God and people.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, Who is also fully God, and who works in mankind to draw them to
Himself. I believe that the Holy Spirit lives in every believer from the moment of salvation and
becomes their source of power for right living and for understanding spiritual truth.
I believe that the Bible, in its entirety, is the authoritative written Word of God. It is completely
accurate and is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs. It was written by human authors
under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit and as such continues to have power and
relevance in the lives of Christ followers.
I believe all people are created in the spiritual image of God, and are made for a relationship with
Him and one another. However, all people are marred by a sinful nature which is expressed as an
attitude of self-centeredness and a desire to live independently of Him and His will for our lives.
The results of sin are spiritual death and eternal separation from God.
I believe salvation begins and ends with God. It is God’s gift of grace to us through the atoning
work of Jesus Christ on the cross. When we choose to accept God’s free gift to us, our relationship
with God that once was broken is now restored and we are reconciled to God. As a result, we will
inherit eternal life in heaven.
I believe that God calls every follower of Christ to a Christian lifestyle characterized by total
dependence on Him and His power. Living a life of holiness involves a specific decision to respond
to God’s grace by fully surrendering one’s life to God.
I believe that the Church is the Bride of Christ and consists of people around the world who have
put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Jesus created the Church to reflect His
character and extend His heart and hands to a broken world. It was God’s intention that the
Church would seek to love and worship Him in a spirit of unity, to help the spiritually lost enter into
a relationship with Jesus, to encourage and equip one another
